10 Apsars – Abkhazia

On a smooth upper field, the relief State Emblem of Abkhazia is depicted with the Abkhaz inscription "Аҧсны Абанк" (The Bank of Abkhazia) below. Above the emblem, a semicircular inscription reads "10 ҦСАРК" (10 Apsars). Along the rim, the left side shows the metal's chemical symbol, fineness, and weight, while the right side features the mint mark. On a matted field in the lower part, "Аҧсны Абанк" and the mintage year "2014" appear in raised print.

The coin features a portrait of Shalva Inal-ipa, the Abkhazian ethnographer, historian, and literary critic. The dates 1914 and 1995 flank the portrait, with the number 100 below it. Along the bottom edge is his name in Abkhaz, incorporating his family's tamga emblem.
