2 Hryvni (Battle of Kruty) – Ukraine

Ukraine's small National Emblem is set against a composition symbolizing statehood revival: armed youths march through a target's three concentric circles. Flanking the scene are the dates 1918-1998. Around the coin's circumference are "УКРАЇНА" (above) and "2 ГРИВНІ" (below).

A two-part composition depicts a historic confrontation: static figures of young heroes defending Ukrainian independence on the left, and a commanding arm directing attacking cavalry as an allegory of Bolshevik intervention on the right. Inscriptions frame the image: "80-РІЧЧЯ БОЮ ПІД КРУТАМИ" and "29.01.1918," separated by a solar mark.
