5 Hryven (Lviv National Medical University) – Ukraine

The obverse features Ukraine's Small Coat of Arms with the inscription "НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ." Centered on a dark background are the opening lines of the Hippocratic Oath in Latin, flanked by the year 2009 and a university emblem. Below is the face value "5 ГРИВЕНЬ."

The university building is shown with the legends: above, "225/РОКІВ" (225 years); below, "ІМЕНІ/ДАНИЛА/ГАЛИЦЬКОГО" (named after Danylo Halytskyi); and around it, "ЛЬВІВСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ МЕДИЧНИЙ УНІВЕРСИТЕТ" (Lviv National Medical University).
