The obverse shows a maple leaf pattern and a left-facing portrait of the 74-year-old King Charles III.

The reverse depicts Vancouver’s first Black community, Hogan’s Alley, with British Columbia’s Pacific Dogwood at its centre. Surrounding it (clockwise from one o’clock) are: a cook from a women-owned chicken house; a Black railway porter; the choir of the AME Fountain Chapel, the first Black church; and dancers and musicians representing the neighborhood’s vibrant nightlife.
