Featuring the State Coat of Arms and "РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" above, the coin's centre depicts a modern electric train at Minsk Station. The year of issue is on the right, and the denomination "1 РУБЕЛЬ" is at the bottom.

A class Г steam engine (produced in England, 1860-1865) on the rails before the 1860s Grodno Station terminal. Above the train: "150 ГАДОЎ" (THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY). At the top: "БЕЛАРУСКАЯ ЧЫГУНКА" (THE BELARUSIAN RAILROAD).
