The design features Manzoni’s portrait, a pen, and the start of ‘I Promessi Sposi’. “CITTÀ DEL VATICANO” arches at the top, with “Alessandro Manzoni” and the dates “1873◦2023” below. The mintmark “R” is at left. The outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
