And you, dear sons, when you receive the presbyteral ordination, in the name of Christ the Teacher you will perform the office of teaching ministry within the scope entrusted to you. Proclaim the word of God to all, which you yourselves have joyfully received. Meditate on the law of God, believe what you have read, and fulfill what you will teach others.
May your teaching be nourishment for the people of God, and may the holiness of your life become a source of joy for the followers of Christ. In this way, by word and example, you will build the house of God, which is the Church.
By the power of Christ, you will also perform the office of sanctifying ministry. For through your mediation, the spiritual sacrifice of the faithful will be perfected by being joined to the Sacrifice of Christ, which you will offer with your own hands on the altar in an unbloody and sacramental manner. Therefore, consider what you do, imitate what you perform, and while celebrating the sacramental Sacrifice of the Lord's Death and Resurrection, strive to mortify all vices in yourselves.
Always keep before your eyes the example of the Good Shepherd, who came not to be served, but to serve, and to seek and to save what was lost.
