Obverse
Description:
King Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar (1673-1704) issued annual 1/2 Kasu coins to mark each year of his rule, each stamped with the corresponding Kannada numeral. From numeral 1 in 1674, he issued eleven coins through 1684. The series ended with a twelfth coin in 1698, marked with the numeral 25 for his silver jubilee.
