2 Euro (Bramante) – San Marino

The coin features Bramante’s portrait and part of his Tempietto, a 1502 tomb masterpiece in San Pietro in Montorio. The inscription ‘BRAMANTE LAZZARI DELLE PENNE DI SAN MARINO’ encircles the design, with the years ‘1514’ and ‘2014’ at the sides. At the bottom are the artist’s initials ‘MCC’ and the mint mark. The outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union.
