The obverse depicts Vilnius's Aušros Vartai, an architectural monument reflecting the golden section. Its attic features the Vytis symbol, encircled by the inscriptions LIETUVA, 10 LITŲ, and 2007.
The reverse features the golden section (Sectio Aurea), a principle of perfect proportion used since antiquity in architecture and, later, in Renaissance art and figure portrayal. The geometric rectangle is encircled by the inscription SECTIO AUREA.
