Description:
Commemorating the 2300th anniversary of Buddhism's arrival in Sri Lanka via Arahat Mahinda (June 4, 1993). This unique coin uses the "Shri" spelling introduced by President Premadasa. It depicts the meeting of Mahinda and King Devanampivatissa at Mihintale, with the Dhamma Chakka symbolizing both. Inscriptions in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mark the anniversary.
