This coin's reverse depicts a congkak board. The left storehouse reads "BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA," the right shows "5 RINGGIT." Two central rows of houses form a frosted illusion of "50," marking 50 years of coin minting by Kilang Wang.

The left corner marks "50 TAHUN PENGHASILAN DUIT SYILING" with the numerals shaped like coins. Against a textured mengkuang mat background are seven motifs from Kilang Wang's coin series: the Parliament Building; the wau, rebana, and gasing; and the Mah Meri and sulur kacang designs.
