Description:

The inner part of the coin marks the 500th anniversary of Giorgio Vasari's birth. It features a detail from his painting "Giuditta decapitates Oloferne". Centred at the bottom are the dates "1511-2011", with "G. VASARI" and "SAN MARINO" along the left and right edges. The mintmark "R" is to the left of the motif and the designer's initials "CM" are to the right. The outer ring depicts the 12 EU stars.
