50 Dollars (Heliocentrism) – Niue

The coin's center depicts the heliocentric solar system, with pad-printed planets from Mercury to Saturn orbiting the Sun. To the left is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and to the right is an armillary sphere, an instrument used by Copernicus.

The coin's center features Nicolaus Copernicus's portrait from Toruń's Townhall, set against his manuscript "De revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium." Lilies of the valley, a medieval symbol of science and medicine, appear beside him. Below are his signature and the years since his heliocentric theory. The manuscript notes include his solar system model, with planets marked by multicolored Swarovski crystals. To the left is a symbolic depiction of the heliocentric theory, showing the sun's symbol circled by those of Earth and the Moon. On the right is the facade of Copernicus's house.
